I’m taking part in Heart & Sole – Walk for Sick Kids to help families stay close when it matters most.
When a child is seriously ill or injured, everything changes. Being close to the hospital can make an incredibly tough time just that little bit easier.
That’s why I’m walking 20km and raising funds to help families stay close to their child’s care at Ronald McDonald House, in hospital Family Rooms, and across Northern NSW.
Around $190 can help support a family for one night providing a place to stay, meals and the comfort of being together.

Walking to support Ronald McDonald House Newcastle
Thursday 28th May I recently started volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Newcastle, I have witnessed first hand that this wonderful group of people do every day to support the families of these sick children who have been thrust into a situation they cannot fully control.If you could spare a donation it will go towards this wonderful cause and help supply everything from Accommodation, Family Rooms to relax in and get whatever they need, a listening ear, educational needs of the whole family and even holiday accommodation to take a break when needed.meals snacks, showering, washing or just relaxing with a pancake and coffee are all taken care of so the family can concentrate on taking care of their sick child and the rest of the family without the worry and stress.
