I’m walking in Heart & Sole - Walk for Sick Kids to help families stay close

I’m taking part in Heart & Sole – Walk for Sick Kids to help families stay close when it matters most.

When a child is seriously ill or injured, everything changes. Being close to the hospital can make an incredibly tough time just that little bit easier.

That’s why I’m walking 20km and raising funds to help families stay close to their child’s care at Ronald McDonald House, in hospital Family Rooms, and across Northern NSW.

Around $190 can help support a family for one night providing a place to stay, meals and the comfort of being together.

If you’re able to, I’d really appreciate your support.

It was beautiful, inspiring, challenging and painful. I was blown away by all the support from my wonderful friends and family, and this got me over the finish line. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Definitely “kindness in motion.”

Thank you so much for donating to my RMH Walk.  I am walking for my beautiful nephews, Harry & Liam, who have spent their first weeks in NICU and then back to hospital on numerous occasions for operations and care.   Rowan and Meaghan have a supportive village of family around them, and RMH Family Rooms have been there to help them take care of themselves while they stay at their babies' side.
I'm not normally a long-distance walker, but Gary and I are looking forward to getting out and seeing the wonderful sights of Newcastle.
